Josh and I ditched the kids on Friday and hiked Pine Valley mountain. We hiked a few hours on Friday, then camped for the night.

The next day we hiked some more, to the end of Brown's Trail and part of Summit. It was a pretty brutal trail, basically uphill for four miles:

It was hard work, it took us 9 hours to hike 11 miles, but such a blast. There's nothing better than being alone on a mountain with Josh.

Did Josh complain a lot this time? He talks a lot about my incredible singing on that trip, but he leaves out his complaining.
It's an awesome view from the top.
Alone on a mountain with Josh? That is WAY too much information!
Great view in the last picture, and I'm not talking about the scenery. Just kidding, I am.
Very romantic!
That sounds sooooo nice!
i think i heard that story of salem/josh, and i think salem was singing the following lyrics:
"dog-gone gone and done it.
gone and done it."
Eeewww Kissing!!! Oh, sorry that was my kids. ;p You still kiss after being married for so long? huh. How sweet!
Looks like a fun (maybe not the uphill both ways) and pretty hike.
