KFC bowl

Did anyone see this review of the KFC bowls by Patton Oswalt? I'm still laughing about phrases like, "breaded to the point of parody." He did a stand up bit about the bowls so the A.V. Club challenged him to actually eat one and record his thoughts. It's so funny.

It sounds pretty dreadful! Doesn't he know that KFC gravy is bound to be full of chemicals that give you a roaring headache? And that there is no chicken in popcorn chicken--but i did like his description of it being like someone's sleeve dipped in chicken grease. Thanks for a good laugh!

I agree--a good laugh.

I sometimes stop at KFC and order only the coleslaw to bring home.

Ate it....liked it.

I ate it and liked it too. I am disappointed that someone that looks like Patten Oswalt pretends to be above this food and not like this creation because it sounds gross. Patten, you wish you did not like it but you loved it.

Steve would eat at KFC everyday of his life if he could. Granted his life expectancy would be reduced dramatically if that happened but...

No lie, just last week we had a full-on conversation about how KFC is a cut-above when it comes to fast food. The conversation was very one sided.

I remember when I first saw the commercial for this--all I could think of was, "Gross." Then a dear friend, who shall remain nameless (who reads your blog), called to tell me about it. She was my partner in crime when I was pregnant with Fritz. We made regular trips to KFC to indulge my craving for popcorn chicken and potato wedges with fake cheese sauce. And if I remember correctly (you probably know who it is...), even she didn't like the famous KFC bowl when she got it.

I shudder just thinking about it and I'm totally in the craving stage of pregnancy right now. I'm still shuddering.

Nasty! I prefer your recipes, Erin. Glad to see you back to blog entries. Guess baby Petrea and siblings keep you busy.

The "bowl" is just plain wrong. I would not like/eat it Sam I Am. And, my favorite line from that piece was how he described the KFC and workers to be as if rubbed with sad ham. Too funny.

Ok, that is hilarious - although it sounds also like the description of anything Ryan has ever made for us to eat! (Although his version is usually slathered with ketchup instead of gravy. This is why I do all the cooking.)

My favorite line though was, "Shepherds in Kentucky must be full of rage and slathered in confusion. "
