Puerto Rico

I know I haven't reported on my trip yet, it's been a busy last week of school. The trip was AMAZING! One of the best trips ever. Beautiful beaches, interesting culture, gorgeous resorts, fresh fish and tropical fruits, iguanas and crabs wandering around the pool, and so much laughing. I didn't take many pictures, but Jared took beautiful pictures (I've borrowed some for this post), there is an especially great one of Josh doing a hurky at El Morro that I'd love to blow up really big and hang in my bedroom. We loved it so much we want to go back every year, there is so much to see and do.

Here are some highlights:

This was the beach attached to our resort. We spent one morning snorkeling, swimming and tanning/burning. The water was calm and warm and the beach was really this empty.

Looking down to the beach from El Morro.

Kayaking and swimming in the Bioluminescent Bay. (Not me, but this is what it looked like. Picture via elenas-vieques.com)

My favorite place we stayed.

And some great food:

Duchess Donuts

Coco Frio

Mango, Pineapple and Passion Fruit Frappes

Whole Grilled Grouper

$16 hamburger on the beach

I'm totally jealous. Sounds like a good time! Every year, eh? Might we come along...Shayne and I make pretty good company. Think about it.

Very cute tummy Erin. You looked so great in those pictures. Puerto Rico becomes you.
