The silpat is one of my favorite kitchen tools. I loved mine until it melted under the broiler. It's one of those things you don't know you need, but after you have it, you don't know how you lived without it. If you don't know about the silpat, DON'T TELL ANYONE. Go buy one right away and pretend you knew about them all along. Just don't use them under a broiler. Buy it at any kitchen store or here.

I use mine every single time I bake. They are even great for rolling out cookie, pie, and biscuit dough. I love Silpat. I didn't know you could get them for cheap on Amazon. Thanks for the tip. When I get my Viking Range someday, I'll need them in every size to fit all the different sized sheet pans. I love that they even make them for microwaves.

I bought a couple right when we got married but since I have the Williams sonoma nonstick cookie sheets I only really use them to roll out pizza dough. :(

I never use mine for baking - I use it for rolling out pizza dough & cookies. I absolutely LOVE it - everyone should have at least one.

Amen to the silpats. I own two, and I broil with mine, with no negative side effects.
Anytime I cook ANYTHING on a cookie sheet--I use a Silpat. End of story. No need to spray or grease a pan ever again!
