Two Recipes

photo: Tom Schierlitz from Bon Appetit

Haven't been cooking much lately. I'm in some serious need of inspiration. But, I do have to share two great recipes I discovered this month:

Asian Noodle Salad
Click over to pioneerwomancooks.com to see her gorgeous pictures. This is totally a chick salad, lots of veggies and bright colors and noodles and ginger/soy sauce/garlic flavors. Perfect for a warm weather bbq, baby shower or any girly gathering.

Dulce de Leche and Chocolate Chunk Bread Pudding
We lurv dulce de leche at our house and this is a perfect use of it. I've tried it twice, once with store bought dulce de leche and once with homemade. Both were equally good. This is a dessert that delivers big results for very little effort. We were all surprised at how yummy it was. We served ours with whipped cream. It's good, good.

First of all, this does look delicious. But I had to write and tell you that we drove by the Lee Lou Ann yesterday. : )

So I have never been a fan of bread pudding - but the other day I had some in a French cafe in Boise and it was served with fresh blackberries and fresh whipped cream and it was to die for. I think I am now committed to bread pudding and will have to try this.
