My Seinfeld Cupboard

Did you ever watch Seinfeld and gasp when he opened a particular kitchen cupboard to reveal boxes and boxes of cereal? I did. Growing up we didn't have much cold cereal around. Cheerios, maybe Chex. Things without sugar or marshmallows or special toys. (Although now, my mom has a cupboard that houses the perfect kinds of cereal for grandkid visitors.) The idea of a cupboard filled with boxes of cereal has always seemed so abundant, special, and bounteous to me. I mean, how you could ever not find something to eat in a house that had such a cupboard? The other day I opened my cupboard and realized that I too have a Seinfeld cupboard (at least some of the time). And it made me really happy.
