Outrageous Brownies

I love Thursdays. It's my "day off," (no teaching, no lessons to take my kids to) and I find myself always wanting to spend time in the kitchen. It's rainy today and I've been thinking about Ina Garten's Outrageous Brownies. These are not for the casual chocolate eater. They are rich, dense and loaded with chocolate. The directions on-line leave out a few things, so let me clarify:

When the recipe refers to melting the chocolate with the butter, use the 6 oz. of unsweetened and the 1 lb of chocolate chips. Save the 2 cups chocolate chips for later.

When it says add the flour, just add 1 cup. Toss the remaining 1/4 c. of flour with the 2 cups chocolate chips and nuts.

A whole lb. of butter?! Those have to be good. Yum, yum, yum.

I've made these before- they are amazing! The recipe is huge- you might consider cutting it in half.
