THE day
We just put our kids on the bus, for what they think is another typical day at school. Unbeknownst to them we are going to pick them up from school at noon, get in the car, drive to the airport and go to DISNEY WORLD. They are going to freak. The best thing might be the 75 degree weather we'll be basking in all week.

so freaking AWESOME! have a fun trip!
HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!
I think I'm more excited than Roxcy or Jonah will be. This is so awesome.
What school bus do I need to get on to catch that action?! HOW FUN!!!
I want to do that to my kids one day.
awesome you guys rock!
be sure to treat yourselves to the disney mint fudge!
Have a blast!
I am so insanely happy for your kids!! This post has made my day!!
(My mom did the same surprise to me in grade 5. Disney Land, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios for 2 weeks with an aunt and cousins!!)
Take a million pictures so they don't forget it, and then one day, 15 years down the road they'll remember the same feeling when they read of someone else doing the same thing with their kids!!
My mom picked me up from school and surprised me with a visit to the dentist, once upon a time. Your surprise is WAY more fun. (She actually was being kind since I always cried thinking about having to go.) Have a ball.
That is so rad.
You are definitely the coolest parents ever.
I love surprises but this would be the ultimate surprise! Have a blast!
best parents of the year award for sure. i was thinking...i hope you photograph or videotape their reaction when you tell them where they are going, but i am sure you will not need to...you will remember it forever...i am sure the excitement will be heard for miles around
Okay that is crazy because we have been planning on doing that exact thing with our girls in March (of course because we live out west, so we will not be going to Disney World, but the less exciting Disney Land.) Shayne has been filling their heads with all kinds of crap like, "We can't go to Disneyland it is too expensive"..."Disneyland is too far away and Parly will get car sick"...stuff like that so they will be even more excited when we put them in the van and start driving. Great minds must think alike right? Have a great time you guys.
Awesome, awesome, awesome
I tried suprising my niece Robin and nephew Paul by getting them out of school early to go to the zoo. It was awesome, first they were kinda bummed because they like school, its where all their friends were. Second, the zoo was lame, all the animals were hibernating. Not the best decision I have ever made. This sounds much better.
Daisy,
I would pick disneyland over disneyworld any day of the week. One word: Matterhorn.
I'll be there this Thursday.
Sales, that is great you are going on Thursday. I did not know you had kids old enough to take to Disneyland. I am sure you would not just go to that place for you and your cute wife, right?
