The other day we snuck in the yard of an empty house to pick grapes. There were loads, just ripe for the pickin'. They are sweet and yummy and I can't believe we picked them! The only homegrown grapes I've seen have thick tart skins and are used for juicing and jellies. These were fantastic eating grapes. I'm considering making the Grape Pie featured in this month's Bon Appetit with them.
Can you tell how excited I am? Really excited.
