Happy Mother's Day to Me!

What a great Mother's Day I had. My kids are so sweet. They spent time at church and school making sweet gifts for me and really pitched in to make it a good day for me. I was really spoiled! I have to report on the fabulous dinner the kids helped their Dad plan, shop for and cook. The meal was wonderful because it was simple (as in not a lot of recipes), just great ingredients cooked well. I love eating like this. I sat and they served me course after course of wonderful spring tastes -

Artichokes with Lemon Butter

Corn on the Cob
Squash and Grape Tomato Shish-Ka-Bobs

Filet Mignon with Chimichurri Sauce (Josh used fresh oregano in place of the cilantro. He used the sauce to marinade the steak and then served some on the side. It was really good.)
