Have you seen the new ad campaign for Applebee's? Following the trend set (or copied) by Target, Kmart, Wal-Mart and others, Applebee's has gone designer. They have celebrity chef Tyler Florence creating dishes for them. It almost makes me want to go to Applebee's. Smart Applebee's, smart. Read opinions here and here.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I love tyler, I know it's all about the $$$, but I just don't know if I can take anyone serious who does this...like when Rick Bayless did Burger King...what is up with that?? I mean would Julia Child do such a thing? I am on the fence for now.
